How to transfer a patent?
When an application or a registered patent in Norway is to be transferred to a new applicant or patentee, a declaration of transfer issued by the new applicant or patentee must be submitted as documentation, or alternatively issued by the patent attorney. The declaration must state the reason for transfer, for example being based on an agreement.
A new Power of Attorney to the patent agency in charge must be submitted as well.
There is no public fee to be paid for this type of change. Please contact us for information on agency fees.
Please contact us for information regarding transfers in other countries.
