Håmsø Patentbyrå ANS is based in Sandnes, in Norway’s oil-related heartland. Here, a wide range of high-tech systems and tools for the exploration and production of oil and gas are developed and produced. Shipping companies specialising in supply services to oil and gas fields offshore or in operating ships for the production or transport of hydrocarbons have an enormous influence on the maritime environment in the region. Moreover, the agriculture in the Jæren region has given rise to some of the country's most prominent manufacturers of agricultural machinery. Being close to the sea also means we have an active fish-farming sector, whether it be technology for the farming facilities or development and production of feeds for farmed fish.
