Håmsø Patentbyrå ANS was established in 1950 as an independent consulting company, specialising in patents and other intellectual property rights for domestic and international clients.

Today, Håmsø is one of Norway's largest domestic patent application agencies, offering patent, trademark and design application services, translations, licensing, legal disputes, representation before the Norwegian Patent Office and legal and technical expert advice in intellectual property matters.

Our staff come from a range of backgrounds and offer degree level knowledge of microbiology, constructional engineering, mechanical engineering, hydrotechnical engineering, geology, electronics, law and linguistics, we also have experience within manufacturing, service and research. With over 25 employees we also have a range of qualified administrative staff fully conversant in patent law, and we cooperate closely with license consultants and government authorised translators.
